Old way of passing the Sound around.
New method
  1. The musicain makes a demo.
  2. Send demo off to MegaPigge Records.
  3. Wait for many moons.
  4. If your sound fit their idea of a demographic profile...
  5. If you were very lucky...
  6. MegaPigge offer a Record Contract. "Er, we would prefer you to sign in Blood here, we find it's more... permanent"
  7. For which you were either patheticaly grateful, or you starved.
  8. Months later they issue a slice of vinyl with a spiral scratch on it, or a CD. From the sale of which they keep how much?
  1. You play, I record & MP3 it.
  2. The results go onto this site. With pictures & words of your choice if required.
  3. People get to listen to it for free, at home, when it suits them.
  4. If they like it they can ask for a CD of more. MP3 allows some 200 tracks on a CD. Possibly room for work by other local musicians so as to get a feel for what is happening in the area.
  5. Musician is wired to the audience. Able to respond to audience tastes overnight rather than in months.
  6. Listener receives music at a fraction of the usual cost.
  7. Everyone wins apart from Megapigge Records.
